Maybe you've been wondering what we've been up to since launching the full-featured eM Client mobile app, and yes, we have heard your questions about desktop updates. Don’t worry, we have not forgotten the desktop app at all. In fact, we are excited to introduce eM Client 10.4 with several great new features!
Your feedback has always been an integral part of our development process, and this release is no exception. Let's take a look at the latest improvements and additions!
General

Sync optimization
We have greatly improved performance and loading times thanks to a new smart optimization feature for IMAP synchronization. For example, small messages are downloaded right away in full, and bigger ones based on your preferences, but there is a complex algorithm that determines the optimal way to get you your messages quickly.
This new mode will be enabled by default, so your messages will open much faster now!

Folder name shown in threads, message details, and search results
Never lose track of where your message is located again – the message folder name is now visible in threads, message details, and search results! This is particularly helpful when using the search feature across all folders and conversations, so you have a clear overview of where each message is stored. Hover over the box to see the full path.
Note: The folder name box will not be visible for Google accounts because Gmail uses tags (labels) that correspond to folder names.

Additional conversation view settings
The Conversation view got some neat improvements – you have the option to include messages from other folders, or choose to always expand selected conversations. Remove your own name so you have an easier overview of the other senders and recipients – or change the order of the names shown in the message list. Find all these options in Settings > Mail > Conversations.

Option to turn off fade-in animation
You can now disable the fade-in animation when opening messages, which can help especially on older hardware and other devices where the animation used to be jerky.

Search feature for QuickTexts manager
We made managing QuickTexts much more comfortable by adding a search feature in the QuickText section. Access it via Settings > Mail > QuickText or via the “Manage QuickTexts” option in the compose window.

Undo for Move action
Accidentally moved a message to an incorrect folder? By popular demand, any Move action can now be undone via the pop-up notification in the message list or the Ctrl + Z keyboard shortcut.

We redesigned the "Move to Junk" dialog so it’s clearer and your desired option is easier to select:

Enhanced table editing capabilities
Edit tables comfortably in the Compose window with a new pop-up table editing bar – easily add or remove rows, columns, and split or merge cells! Formatting options for shading, borders, and alignment are also available via a single click.

Option to paste tables as images
Want to paste a formatted table into your email? Paste it as an image without any hassle or worries that it will lose its properties on the recipient's side.
New features for specific providers

Workaround for shared calendars on CalDAV servers
We have added a workaround that solves issues with shared calendars on Axigen and cPanel servers.

Support for POP3 with OAuth for Microsoft 365 and Gmail accounts
You don't have to say goodbye to using the POP3 protocol for your Microsoft 365 or Gmail accounts. Just set up POP3 manually for these accounts – use the Mail > Other option in the New Account window and select POP, and eM Client will automatically use the secure OAuth login. No more App Passwords!

Vacation responder and forwarder for MDaemon accounts
You can now use the responder for Automatic Replies and a forwarder for your MDaemon accounts in the eM Client app. Enjoy your vacation without the added stress of monitoring your inbox!
